REEL THEM IN AT THE ANNUAL FISHING DERBY!

Maricopa's Fishing Derby event has become an annual tradition for parents and children in our community. The event allows up to 150 children, ages five to 12, to participate in a catch-and-release fishing tournament held at Pacana Park. Each child receives a fishing kit complete with rod, reel, lures, Power Bait, weights and bobbers.

The event is then topped off with a good old fashined BBQ. Event guests will dine on bratwursts, hot dogs, chipes, cookies, water and soda.

"This event brings families and neighbors together," Mayor Smith commented. "It's a great opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a wonderful event with their kids in beautiful Arizona weather."
